With four DIMM slots to support up to 3300 MHz DDR3 (overclocked) and Intel XMP 1.3, the intuitive RAMdisk utility lets you set up a fast cache in order to speed up your game loading times.
The Maximus VII Formula supports 4-way NVIDIA SLI or 3-way AMD CrossFireX configurations.
- CrossChill Copper
- The Maximus VII Formula features CrossChill Copper, which is engineered with a copper cooling channel that is efficient for removing heat. It works with either air or liquid cooling, which can lower the MOSFET temperatures by up to 23°C. The G1/4″ threaded fittings mean the CrossChill Copper is ready for your existing cooling setup.

- RAMDisk
- With RAMDisk you can turn system memory into temporary storage. Put large files, such as game maps, into RAMDisk and watch loading times get lowered. The improved 2014 edition of RAMDisk dynamically allocates memory, so unused RAM is released back to the system when it’s needed. You’ll even enjoy the bonus of protecting your SSD drives, as RAMDisk reduces excessive reads and writes that can reduce lifespan. Last but not least, the junction function serves as quick links between files and RAM storage.
